01.
Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow for finding the location, using the restroom, and to ensure your appointment starts and ends on time. This will keep the RMT's day running smoothly.
02.
There is a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel less than 24-hours prior to your appointment time, or do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged in full for the booked appointment. If the appointment time is booked by someone on the waitlist, you will be refunded.
03.
All bookings and payments are done through our online scheduling system (accessed by clicking on the Book a Massage icon at the top of this web page). You will be asked to create a profile for yourself when booking your first massage, and to enter a credit card number to hold the booking. When you arrive for your appointment, your RMT will give you the option to charge a credit card, pay in cash, or send an e-transfer before you leave. No cash is kept on site, so please bring exact change if you plan on paying with cash. As soon as payment is received, you will be emailed a receipt. The receipt may then be used for your extended health benefits plan.
04.
Juniper Buller RMT is a claims provider. The following insurers may pay a portion of your visit. You will be asked to fill out a consent form upon booking your first appointment if you wish to have Third Party Billing available to you. If your insurer is not listed below, or you wish to submit on your own, please use the receipt with the RMT's registration number that is emailed to you after the massage.

Your personal information is collected and kept in digital form only. This is done through the software system, Jane, which is a secure site that stores information on Canadian servers only, in accordance to Canada's privacy legislation.
This is standard for healthcare practitioners, and as healthcare practitioners, we are governed by the Health Professions Act, and provincial legislation applicable to health professionals. See Health Professions Act & Regulations.
The Health Care (Consent) and Care Facility (Admission) Act and Personal Information Protection Act also apply to RMTs.
The College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC sets standards of professional practice for registered massage therapists with their Bylaws, Code of Ethics, and Standards of Practice.

Juniper Buller RMT is strictly professional and non-sexual. Any non-professional and non-therapeutic actions by clients towards the RMTs will be considered a reportable offense to the RCMP.
07.
Masks are required in the treatment room. This is to protect both you and the RMT from any communicable disease that is spread by respiratory droplets. Because the treatment room is a small space, and the nature of massage therapy is close contact, masks must be worn until further notice.
